Stories’ Beginnings
1Cor.2:7; 1Pet.1:20

1Co 2:7 No, we speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.
1Pe 1:20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.
It was not a sudden thing what God did in sending His son, born of a woman, and a woman who had no previous relationship with a man, to be born when He did. He planned before creation to unfold this mystery in front of the watching eyes of His creation. (1Pet.1:12) Even Angels were held in a fog concerning this Jesus and what He was to accomplish and how. . (Eph.3:5, 1Cor.2:8)
From the very beginning, when God spoke, it was wise to pay attention because He has a purpose for saying the things He says in the manner in which He says them. Such as in Gen.3:15 as He delivered a curse against the serpent that He would “put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.”
God spoke way back then of what He was going to do and the means for which He would bring about this mystery. The world didn’t have much of a clue what He was going to do but knew He was going to do something marvelous. Centuries later Isaiah speaking through the urging of the Holy Spirit clarified the mystery (well, a little) Isa
I am so glad that the Good Lord had the writers of the Gospels and the rest of the New Testament explain some of the mysteries for us. Had they not told us about the angel visiting Mary and telling her that she was to become pregnant by supernatural means (by God through the Holy Spirit) the world would just think her another sinful, immoral, teenager. (Mat.1:18, 20; Lk.1:26-35)
When God gave a promise of blessing to Abraham that the world would be blessed through his seed (Gen.22:18; Gal.3:16-19) it is Paul who explains this mystery. (Rom.16:25-26)
As we enter into the advent season understand the mystery kept secret from man an angel alike, kept secret in the very heart of God, Redemption is found only in this Child who was to be born of a young virgin girl and her name is Mary. The origin of this salvation hidden in God before the creation of the world but revealed to all humanity in this; Jesus - the son of God’s handmaiden. (Lk.1:48; Eph.3:8-9; 1Cor.2:7-9)
Take to heat this season what a great thing He did.
Working out your salvation across the eons of time.
Praise God!
